The World at War

This beauty is now available for the bargain price of £20 from Tesco...

All 26 episodes, fully restored with upgraded soundtrack and a further 12 hours of documentaries - unbelievable value.

As we all know, the definitive study of WW2 - probably not a good idea to watch it if you are feeling remotely melancholic though...

(Normal slow painting service to resume shortly)

That's it for now,

Monty

  1. This brings back memories of Modern History in Year 11 and the laziest teacher in the world. 'Right boys. Sit down, books out, take notes.' All 26 episodes.

  2. I can feel my money burning a hole through my pocket now... Our history teacher did this as well although to be fair he followed up each episode with a lesson of analysis and discussion.

  3. Got this a while ago when a newspaper offered it for nearly free, one of the best and great opening music......

  4. Awfully tempted by that. Did get the first couple from the Daily Mail when it came out a couple of years ago, but managed to lose the vouchers Dad collected for me to buy the rest.
