By way of an interim update while I continue the reorganisation of my faculties after the fug of the debauchery that was Christmas, I have quickly cobbled together a muddle of the things I've been messing about with as I try to bore sight my painting eye again.
I was impressed by the detail on these, which for 10mm figures I felt was more in line with 15mm scale, but there again, what do I know?
The final painted example of my Airfix commandos and my personal favourite figure; as my previous post outlined, I had mixed feelings painting these and was driven largely by nostaglia, but I'm pleased with the result.
Finally, the first Crossfire base of Revell Panzer Grenadiers, which was my first attempt at soft plastic painting at this scale and after much preparation and advice (many thanks all) the experience was fairly pleasant.
That's it, for now folks, fairly pathetic, I know - but I will get back into the swing again soon I'm sure. The key thing for me presently is focus, which I'm lacking - but don't fear - I shall return!
Best wishes for now,
Monty
Like the look of the WW2 Germans
ReplyDeleteNice choice of figures to group together
Cheers Geordie - just wish Revell would re-issue their earlier packs in harder plastic...how did you get on with the Valiants?
ReplyDeleteGood one Monty, I especially like the Marine.
ReplyDeleteThanks Al!
ReplyDeleteThought you might do mate
Regards,
Monty
Great work!!!, the Revell MG team is one of the best poses ever, you had better tell Al that the Commando is actually from an Army Commando Unit not one of the RM's, trust me he will take it well!
ReplyDeleteLike the 10mm Normans:-) And you cant go wrong with Impetus
ReplyDeleteMonty - great minis as always. You are really building an eclectic mix of gaming periods! Love the little Normans! Makes me want to get back into blogging again, what with moving house, having my computer break and getting married I kinda lost the blogging habit!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Josh
Thanks for all the comments, chaps!
ReplyDeleteHey, Josh - welcome back mate, good to hear from you again and congratulations on getting married etc. Yeah, I'm all over the place at the moment to keep the interest levels going, had a lapse over Christmas but getting back to it again slowly...
I've got a tonne of those Germs in the roof!
ReplyDeleteLove the Normans. Can't wait to see more! They'll look VERY impressive lined up on the table - perhaps I should go 10mm for my Crusaders? Who knows. That's another project for another day ;)
All the best,
Consul.
